A new activity which fits the tradition of the Hague Veterans Club/Foundation Commemoration Veterans (Stichting Herdenking Veteranen) was a reception for the military attaches in our city during the Netherlands Veteransday in The Hague. The Hague as the United Nations city of Peace and Justice annually honors the Dutch veterans during veteransday, which for the first since the Covid was held on Sataurday the 25th of June. Sunny weather was the perfect backdrop for the large scale military parade – in front of His Majesty The King – in participation were both serving military as well as veterans. Representatives and their spouse of various embassies visited he Hague Veterans Club, including the ambassador of Argentine and our longtime friend Major-General (ret) Leen Noordzij. Military representatives from countries such as Indonesia, Belgium, France, Germany and the United States.
Especially a big thanks is due to Mr. Tom Tompul, who hosted the reception as well as our monthly gathering at Indonesian Restaurant Poentjak in The Hague.
